On 23 January, 2011, INCHEBA EXPO Bratislava closed its gates on the Petržalka bank of the Danube. For four days it hosted the exhibitors and visitors of a series of significant events: 17th travel fair ITF Slovakiatour, 18th exhibition Hunting and Leisure and 3rd exhibition Wellness and Fitness.
The fair ITF Slovakiatour has developed into one of the most important fairs in Slovakia as well as in the region of the Central Europe. The fair is included in the calendar of the most important events in the field of tourism and is a member of the prestigious international organisation of tourism fairs ITTFA. It offered the visitors a complex view of the area of tourism. It introduced individual countries as possible holiday destinations and prepared presentation room for expert public who earn their living from tourism. Travel agencies took part in the fair, expert as well as general public learned information on countries from foreign tourism boards and, of course, an independent hall of Slovak and Czech regions and interesting travel spots wasn´t missing.
In all, 398 exhibitors from Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Croatia, Greece, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Italy, Tunisia, Turkey and the United Kingdom introduced themselves covering total area of 17,500 m2. 21 foreign tourism boards and foreign regions presented themselves directly at the fair. The whole event was attended by 72,531 visitors out of which 9,135 were registered experts.
Parallel Activites
Supplementary programme and presentations of firms and exhibitors, professional seminars, press conferences, festival of travel films, photography and publications.
The fair was supplemented with specialised exhibitions with related topics, was Hunting and Leisure being among them. In terms of the program a ceremonial parade took place through which the 40th anniversary of organised falconry in Slovakia was celebrated and also 40 years of forestry education were commemorated. Sport too is among popular forms of spending leisure time. The exhibition Wellness and Fitness introduced facilities and means for the support of healthy lifestyle.
